He have always argued that, while it is commendable to punish corruption, a more effective approach to tackling the problem is to prevent it from arising in the first place. If appropriately curated and enforced, the asset declaration process can serve as a sustainable tool for combating corruption.   Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has said that his side of the House has no issue with the former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta being asked to render accountability. He says all they want is for the state to use the right procedure in holding him to account.
